A team of 6 have returned from a Mission to Romania, which took place from 29 April – 13 May.
Clive & Ann McIntyre led the team, accompanied by Lenuta Vintila, Marian Bateman, Graeme Turner and Pamela Holloway. Lenuta was of immense help, as she was one of our key interpreters but also the driver of a van that was loaned to us for the duration of our visit. And there was a lot of interpreting and driving involved! For Marian, it was her first time in Romania and she reports:
Our trip spanned 3 areas; Rosiori, Alexandria and Bucharest and we worked with different local churches in their outreach to local communities. It was Easter in Romania when we arrived and so we attended various celebratory services as well as an open-air outreach event to youth in a park in Rosiori. Working with a church in Alexandria for the first time, we visited a number of “Mission Points” in surrounding villages, meeting groups of people in homes who were hungry for teaching and prayer. Our time in Bucharest involved outreach to families through home visits and a gathering for children in a Romany district during the day, plus evening meetings in 4 different churches. The Gospel message was well received in the new areas we were working in, thanks to many years of hard work by the “missionaries” sent out from the main churches, and so we witnessed many salvations and recommitments.
We are so grateful to all who prayed for us, as this is a vital ingredient for mission.
