Florenta & Mark Hamilton
Mark & Florenta Hamilton are long-standing friends of Clive & Ann. Florenta, born in Romania, helped with the first Barnabas missions to Romania in 2003 and the friendship with Mark, from America, was extended when the two got married and started their ministry together in Romania.
Florenta & Mark have a ministry to the children and youth in Romania. They run weekly clubs in two locations in their home town of Codlea, near Brasov which are attended regularly by about 60 children. They also run summer camps where children learn about the love of Jesus through teaching, singing, crafts and fun games.
Florenta also supports children who need help with their school education through tutoring activities and projects in various subjects, especially maths and English. Through this activity, they work weekly with more than 25 children, even during the summer holidays. Mark helps the children by fixing their bikes.
Plans for the future include a computer school and a weekly Bible study. Some of the older children from the clubs are interested in learning more about the Bible and some are in need of discipleship.

Summer 2025 Update

Summer CampA total of 74 children participated in the Summer Camp 2025. The children who came to the camp were mostly participants in the weekly children’s clubs that we hold in two locations in Codlea. During these clubs, we talk to the children about God and our faith in Jesus, plus we sing, play games and do crafts.
Here are a few pictures from this year’s camp. The small house made out of names was built with the kids. It contains their names and the foundation reads ‘I put my trust in Jesus’. The other picture includes the houses each child made for the sky city. |
